Singapore is a multi-racial nation and we celebrate cultural diversity. We have many practices and celebrations by different races such as Chinese New Year, Christmas, Vesak Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Deepavali, Hari Raya, etc.
It is important for us to practise respect for one another regardless of race and religious beliefs.

Racial harmony is part of building a strong foundation for our nation. We are one of the few countries where different religious institutions (e.g. church, mosque and temple) are located next to one another and co-existing peacefully.

We also rejoice in food cuisine diversity; hence we are a known food paradise.

At Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan (SHHK) Cultural Academy, we teach our students to appreciate cultural diversity and respect the cultural practices of different races. For example, our pre-school teaches our children how to wrap Chinese dumplings and Malay ketupat, and also incorporates lessons on racial harmony into our curriculum.

Come find out more about our After-school care programme or Pre-school at www.shhkca.com.sg. Our Pre-school and after school care (student care center) are open for registration now.
