After School Care / Student Care Centre
As part of our efforts to provide holistic education, the Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan Cultural Academy launched the SchoolAfterSchool (SAS) student care program since 2016.
We offer after-school care services for primary school students, focusing on fostering interest in the Chinese language and culture. We strive to be a leading provider of bilingual education, emphasizing character building, holistic learning, and the development of Chinese language and cultural understanding.

• Indoor and outdoor play areas
• Chinese Speech and Drama training
• Focus on character development and life skills
• Curriculum designed for discovering strengths and problem-solving
Our programmes include curriculum and theme-based learning to help each child discover their strength and learn problem-solving and life-skills.
Embracing Heritage: Preserving Traditional Culture
To inspire students' interest in Chinese language and culture, SAS integrates traditional festivals into our annual activities. Parents are invited to watch performances of "Di Zi Gui" and Hokkien rhymes that students have learned, and to participate in traditional festive activities, such as mooncake making to dragon boat races. Through these activities, we aim to inherit and promote traditional Chinese culture, allowing students to appreciate its richness. This combination not only enriches the students' cultural experiences but also fosters
a love for their heritage.
Instilling Good Learning Habits
We provide a designated study area, and a structured and conducive learning environment to help students develop good studying habits.
Social Responsibility
SAS organises annual community outreach from inter-generation activities with the seniors to recycling projects. We hope that every student not only excel academically but learn to contribute back to the society.
Parent-Teacher Communication
We provide each child with their personal notebook to record their list of daily school homework, to-dos and completed assignments, to help parents keep track of their child’s progress. We also provide opportunities for parents to bond with their children.
