Mario Race: The Ultimate Robotics Adventure 2 Days Holiday Camp
Learn Coding & Robotics through creating your Mario Kart Game!
Lesson Outline

Race your friends using the Mario Kart themed tracks this holiday camp!
​
Students will work in teams to create their own Mario Kart racing tracks, build their robotic racing cars and compete in teams to emerge as winners of the game. The camp will wrap up with a Mini judging competition, and players will learn about good sportsmanship.

Mario Day 1
Building and Budgeting

Students learn how to build and customize their own racing cars using Lego Mindstorms.
They will also learn how to control their built-out cars through programming.
In addition, students will be given a budget to buy materials to create their own racing tracks.
Mario Day 2
Creativity & Competition
Students continue to work on what they have done in Day 1 and get themselves ready for a mini competition.
They are judge on the teams’ creativity, engineering, and programming skills. There are 3 wonderful prizes to be won!
(1) The best looking race track
(2) The fastest racing car
(3) The best racing car design.
